Our Core strategy and guidance

At the Center, we value our Christian vocation, for we have been called to use our talent for the benefit of others who are need of our support, love and care. Mother Teresa saw this and she took it, she “the suffering Jesus in the face of those suffering and needy”.  The only choice to help, at least to show love to the dying person, to care for the suffering one as as her duty to utilize her talent given by God. For in everything we do, there is a prize, either blessing or a curse, depending on how we treat others.  We love to meditate on words of the Lord as he pointed out what our ministry should look like in order to receive the crown promised to the blessed people.

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.  Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.  For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,  I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” Matthew 25:31-40

We are to do to others what we would love to do to Jesus for in order receive the blessing we seek as well as accessing the gate of eternal life. It is our role to response to the needs of those suffering and be there for those who need love, care and protection when and wherever the situation presents itself.

At the Center, we are guided by this text and other verses in the Bible as they connects to our mission of transformation, empowerment and equipping of the communities to participate in the Mission of God, the great redemptive mission that will restore final justice and shalom in the dwelling of the Lord with his people.
