Improve Agricultural Development

Agriculture is the backbone of every society that want to move forward and develop. CETO-CIL values the agricultural development as one of the key pillars to establish a strong societal development and growth.

By ensuring that, transformation is achieved at all cost, the Center will prioritize alongside leadership development the two areas of agricultural development. The following strategies would be use to increase agricultural practices and development in the rural areas and provide adequate food that is more sustainable and organic in the rural locations.

Pastoral agricultural groups: With the raring of animals being the major practice in most part of African society and especially in the regions of South Sudan, CETO-CIL agricultural development team have come up with strategies to develop this further and increase production as well as introduce modern practices of reproduction and uses of animals products to provide sustainable growth and development in the rural societies. With the support from the partners God has directed to help the vulnerable communities, the process will be smooth and great results achieved.

Rural Organic farming: Building on the existing organic farming, this would be raise to a large scale to increase the output and move away from subsistence farming to more of cash farming where the farmers would sustain their living with the farm produce as most of the population remains vulnerable and depends on aid.

Horticulture and forestry development : There is a clear evidence that, most part of the regions are facing deforestation through charcoal and wood production, while the local farming for the vegetables, cash crops, flowers, fruits and nuts, vegetables and herbs, as well as ornamental trees and lawns is not being widely practice though present in few locations with only nuts production. As such, CETO-CIL seek to introduce this type of farming and forest development in key locations where the production will be realize and the environment change as well as people transformed into the farming communities producing their own food and putting environmental protection as key in the areas.

With the support from partners the people touched by God to enable this development, we believe things will work out.
