Equip Church leaders, strengthen Christ’s mission

In many occasions, leadership development as Bob would called it has  brought success in the secular world, though the church and especially in Africa and Asia stills lag behind, as many pastors and church leaders lack training and skills needed to carry on the mission of Christ among the people. It is worth noting that, before the Lord could be crucified, he has taught his disciples in different ways including sending on praxis to sharpen their skills and gain confidence of themselves in mission. Much of that if not all is lacking in most of the developing nations due to several factors including lack of theological schools and seminaries in the areas to train christian leaders and instill the missional aspect of Christ as the core existence reason of the church.

At the Center, we are working hard to raise and train leaders who are missional and pastoral caregivers in every situation of life that they found themselves in. We love to see church leaders who are of a trait that Jesus requires of us, being imitators of Christ in his humble leadership as depicted by Paul (Philippians 2). At the end, we love to see and praise God for the leaders that would resonate with the qualities of church leaders as talk about by Paul.

"if anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination. For an overseer, as God's steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain, but hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined. He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it. For there are many who are insubordinate, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision party. They must be silenced, since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for shameful gain what they ought not to teach."  Titus 1:6-11.

It is therefore our role to develop the leaders in different churches, work with churches to create missional communities and embrace mission as the core function of the church then other activities come in. At the center, we use the approaches and skills founded and imparted by world known scholars in adult learning system and missiological studies. This will build a batch of leaders who are missional oriented and at the same time transformed to bring change and transformation to the communities and churches they serve in all angles.
