"Water is life", they always say and at most one affirm to the other that, it is true, without water, one would easily perish. More is to that, for we saw what happened to Children of Jacob upon crossing the Red Sea into the wilderness of Shur, they were thirsty fro three days, only to found the bitter (unsafe/contaminated) water that was not possible to drink. The Lord God work through Moses, to cleanse the water and make them safe drinking water again so that, they (Israelite) would drink of it (Exodus 15). This poses a question to us, how are we being used by God today, to cleanse the unsafe/contaminated (bitter) water into safe drinking water for the suffering children of God who are affecting in all the areas around the globe.
As gifted by the Lord, one according to her/his own measure, we need to always show our love and care to those who lack somethings, the need for water is a global issue that requires attention in the areas facing it hard such as the sub-Saharan African countries who are just coming up. The rural areas lack safe drinking water and that calls for our intervention.
"Water is life"
Of course we need to dig deep and understand the power of water, it is true that, Jesus was on a mission to preach the good news to all, but through the coincidence conversation with the Samaritan woman sparked by the drinking water (John 4), he was able to preach and bless the Samaritans in that town. It is therefore our role to recognize how we get our blessing through a simple provision of water to the most vulnerable persons in the areas affected by calamities of any magnitude.
Your hand will save many, just a drop of safe drinking water and you have provided to Jesus a precious gift through a fellow suffering human being.
